How do I get started?
When you create an account, you’ll be asked to share some personal information with us, including your name, address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
So that we can match you to your policy, please enter your information exactly as it appears on your policy, using your full name (including middle initial) and NOT your nickname or preferred name.
For your username, please use the email address that your ERIE agent uses to communicate with you.
Once you enter your information and we verify your identity, we’ll send you an email with a verification link. Just follow the instructions in the verification email to log in for the first time. If you’re having trouble with the account verification email, please check your spam or junk mail folders or go back to the log in screen and try it again.
Why do I have to answer identity verification questions when I create my account?
We use these questions to verify that you are who you say you are and to help protect your information from unauthorized users. These identity verification questions are provided by a third party and are based on information available in electronic public records. This data is not restricted to your relationship with ERIE, and ERIE has no control over the content of these public record databases.
How do I reset my password or change my email address?
You can reset your password from the log in screen or once logged in, you can do so from your profile by following the reset password screen prompts. Once you log into your account, you can update your email address via your profile.
How can I access my auto insurance identification cards?
Auto insurance customers may access and print their personal auto insurance ID cards through their online accounts. There is one exception: if you live in New York, you must contact us directly to request a copy of your insurance ID card.

Can I make changes to my policy through my online account?
No, making a change to your policy may affect your coverage, so it’s best to get in touch with your local Erie Insurance Agent. As an experienced insurance professional, your agent will walk you through making important decisions about your coverage.
Can I contact my agent directly or start a claim through my account?
At this time, the best way to contact your agent is via phone or email. When it comes to starting a claim, the best thing to do is call your agent or call ERIE at (800) 367-3743 for 24/7 support. More details on starting a claim can be found here.

When you sign up for an ERIE Workers’ Compensation policy, you will receive an email from Erie Insurance. The Activate Online Account link on that email will ask you to verify your mailing address zip code and driver's license number to match you to your policy. When creating your account, please use the email address that was input during the application process with your ERIE agent. For additional assistance, refer to our quick startup guide. Why am I unable to view my personal and commercial policies within the same online account?
Personal and commercial policies will not be able to be seen in the same online account as personal policies are insurance for the individual and commercial policies are insurance for the company or business. Unfortunately, that means that if you have both personal and commercial policies with ERIE, you will have two different online accounts.
Why can't I see all my commercial policies in my commercial online account?
Commercial online account is currently only activated for new Workers’ Compensation policies. You will continue to receive information for existing workers' compensation policies and for other commercial policies in the mail, the same way you have in the past. Commercial online account for ErieSecure Business®, Business Auto and Commercial Umbrella is currently in development for future release.
